The world is your oyster at La Casa de La Playa
La Casa de la Playa is a small boutique property with stunning views, fantastic service, top notch cuisine and beverages, all kinds of VIP inclusions and the benefits of the larger resort steps but worlds away. After my recent vacation there, I can personally recommend it as a unique combination of an all inclusive resort that offers truly luxurious amenities throughout your stay. Located about an hour south of the Cancun airport, La Casa de La Playa has 63 ocean front suites that have been thoughtfully and sustainably designed to complement the natural beauty of Riviera Maya. Each suite sits steps from the beach with amazing views and 5-star amenities such as rain showers, state of the art technology, Nespresso coffee makers, and premium bedding, and double closet with in-room safe. All suites also feature a private terrace with heated pool with hydromassage and an incredible volcanic rock tub. My butler had a bubble bath waiting for me each evening and the tub stayed hot for hours. One of our favorite features in our suite was the baby jellyfish habitat that mesmerized us each evening.
The restaurants at La Casa de la Playa are definitely not the typical all-inclusive fare. Each restaurant is designed by renowned Mexican chefs. But if you are in the mood for something more familiar, there are incredible options at La Casa and countless restaurants at the adjacent Xcaret resorts which are also all included. A wine cellar displays a wide variety of Mexican vintages which you can enjoy at your leisure. After all this is your “beach house.” Unique touches include a 24 hour tequila bar and a 24 hour chocolateria with various chocolate confections available whenever you so crave!
The resort features a gorgeous oceanfront pool and another rooftop pool, both with fantastic food and beverage service at your whim. I loved my time at the spa with the hydrotherapy ritual overlooking the ocean. We also had fun kayaking through the clear blue water channels at the neighboring Xcaret resorts. But one of the most unique features of La Casa de la Playa are the access and inclusions at all the Xcaret Parks and VIP experiences. We strolled through Xcaret after hours for an exclusive wine walk, serenaded by musicians while we sipped wine. We also accessed Xcaret before it opened for an amazing float down the Rio Maya which started with a Mayan ritual and ended with a private breakfast on the beach. We also had a special entrance to an incredible evening dinner show after a backstage tour. All of these experiences and more are included in your stay as is private transportation in a Tesla to get you where you need to go.
This only begins to touch on the special touches of a stay at La Casa de la Playa. This resort is perfect for a honeymoon or anniversary or just for that special getaway. You can be at home while receiving top notch service and attention to detail in a relaxed but luxurious atmosphere.
